International Marcé Society Biennial Meeting London 2022.

Perinatal Mental Health: connecting the World

19-23.9.2022

We look forward to welcoming you all to London in September 2022. We want as many people as possible to be able to meet in person, so we will be having a face to face meeting from September 19-21 (with a reception at the Great Hall, King’s College London 18th September early evening). We know that not everyone will be able to come to London, so we are combining it with a virtual meeting from September 21-23. If you can join in with both that is ideal! Perinatal mental health does not only involve the mother, but the partner and the child also, as well as the broader family.  We will therefore welcome submissions on all these aspects for both the face to face meeting and the virtual element.

We have called the meeting Connecting the World because:

  • we hope people from as many countries as possible will join us.
  • perinatal mental health is a global problem,
  • we need to learn from research from high income and low to middle income countries to reduce perinatal mental health problems across the world, enhancing health of this and the next generation.

The UK is a leader in involving service users (also known as consumers or patients in some parts of the world) in research and the 2022 Conference wants to encourage this trend internationally by asking those submitting ideas for symposia and workshops to consider including a service user in their presentation team.

We will be opening the abstract submissions link in January and look forward to reading your submissions. Our virtual conference will include workshops, interviews with plenary speakers from the face to face conference (including questions from delegates), e-posters and symposia, and cross-disciplinary encounters including art and music.
